As a pivotal member of our organization, the Schools & Community Engagement Manager plays a critical role in establishing and expanding partnerships with schools, educational institutions, and community organizations.

This position focuses on fostering strong relationships that amplify our mission, creating long-lasting advocates and supporters through initiatives like the 40HR Famine campaign.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to engage schools and community organizations, driving strategic growth and collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned actions that support our objectives, promoting seamless integration and communication.
  • Foster ongoing dialogue with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new partnerships into our campaigns and initiatives, ensuring cohesive messaging and delivery.
  • Engage with key school and community leaders daily, managing the 40HR Famine strategy and partnerships to enhance involvement with schools and community programs, promoting meaningful connections and outcomes.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of the 40HR Famine within schools and community groups, developing innovative solutions and approaches to drive engagement and participation.
  • Build relationships with school and community leaders to enhance involvement and drive deeper engagement with the program, leveraging their expertise and networks to amplify our impact.
  • Contribute to the achievement of financial and participant targets for key campaigns, analyzing data and trends to inform strategic decisions and optimize results.
  • Ensure the effective delivery and growth of campaigns that engage and motivate schools and community members, using best practices and industry benchmarks to drive continuous improvement.

A career within the education industry or similar has provided you with a deep understanding of the Australian schooling system and how our work can connect into the Australian education landscape/curriculum.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years in Business Development experience, with a proven track record of driving growth and expansion.
  • Experience in Charity and Fundraising Sector, leveraging expertise to develop compelling cases for support.
  • Building and leading high-performing teams, cultivating talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Experience working across the Australian Church landscape, developing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Background in working within or in partnership with the educational sector, using knowledge to inform and improve practice.
  • Familiarity with working within a matrix organisation, influencing staff outside of direct reporting channels to achieve common goals.
  • Strategic planning and financial management capability, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive results.
