The Rehabilitation Consultant position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of AIA's rehabilitation services. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cases within the Best Practice Rehabilitation Framework, focusing on Return to Work and Employability Assessment for Milestone and TPD Claims.
This role requires a strong advocate for rehabilitation, making a positive impact on customers' lives and aligning with AIA's Principles of Best Practice in Occupational Rehabilitation. You will work closely with the Rehabilitation Team to provide professional and quality-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategic partnerships that suit the customer, business, and resource needs
- Provide technical support to the Claims Team and facilitate 'walk ups' and case conferences
- Coach and develop the Claims Team on rehabilitation best practices
- Recommend evaluations to assess customers' needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans
- Conduct training and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Background in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling, Physiotherapy, Injury Management, or Registered Nursing
- Experience working in a rehabilitation provider, clinical, and/or claims environment
- Ability to implement rehabilitation programs aligned with AIA's Best Practice Rehabilitation Framework
- Subject matter expertise in occupational rehabilitation, including employability assessments
- Commercial understanding of claims environments, claims management models, and life risk products
- Access to training and development to enhance current skills
