A skilled Rehabilitation Specialist will create and implement culturally sensitive programs to remove obstacles and promote holistic well-being for Indigenous clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Enable individuals to reengage in meaningful occupations using expert knowledge and skills.
- Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers with injuries or illnesses, providing personalized support.
- Assist clients in identifying future employment or training opportunities by reviewing transferable skills, qualifications, and interests.
- Perform various assessments based on clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations and worksite assessments.
- Manage cases to plan, coordinate, and monitor client progress toward return-to-work goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to facilitate business objectives and drive success.
- Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
- Professional registration and certification.
- Variety of experience from graduate to senior levels.
