About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time Community Nurse in Port Macquarie. As a valued member of our KinCare family, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our elderly customers, providing essential care and support in the comfort of their own homes.

This is a full-time position requiring availability for 3 days a week during our business hours, typically between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for a wide range of clinical support services, including wound care, medication administration, stoma and bowel care, injections, and clinical management.

You will conduct nursing, continence, and dementia screening assessments, while supporting care plans and providing solutions tailored to each customer's individual needs. You will work closely with families, General Practitioners, and our KinCare team to ensure a holistic approach to our customers' well-being, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Requirements
  • AHPRA registration
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability for minimum 3 regular days per week (between Mon-Fri)
  • Driver's licence with a reliable and insured vehicle
  • Flexibility, resilience, and strong decision-making skills
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly (at least 1 year experience in Community nursing ideal)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful personality
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Double COVID vaccinated and willing to undergo a functional assessment
