About the Role:

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Community Health Nurse. As a Community Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to our elderly customers across Port Macquarie and surrounding suburbs, within the comfort of their own homes.

You will deliver a range of clinical support services, including wound care, medication administration, stoma and bowel care, and catheter management. Additionally, you will conduct nursing, continence, and dementia screening assessments, while supporting care plans and providing solutions tailored to each customer's individual needs.

Working closely with families, General Practitioners, and the KinCare team, you will ensure a holistic approach to our customers' well-being, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.

This is a casual position, offering roughly 2 days of work per week.

About You:

  • Full AHPRA registration
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Driver's licence with a reliable and insured vehicle
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Double COVID vaccinated and willing to undergo a functional assessment
