About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Community Healthcare Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing essential care to our elderly customers in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

This casual or part-time position requires you to be available for 3 days a week during our business hours, typically between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. As a Community Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of clinical support services, including wound care, catheter care, medication administration, stoma and bowel care, injections, and clinical management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nursing, continence, and dementia screening assessments
  • Support care plans and provide solutions tailored to each customer's individual needs
  • Work closely with families, General Practitioners, and our KinCare team to ensure a holistic approach to our customers' well-being
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full AHPRA registration
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A minimum of 3 regular days per week availability
  • A reliable and insured vehicle and driver's licence
  • The ability to be flexible, resilient, and make strong decisions
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly, ideally with at least 1 year experience in Community nursing
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful qualities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Double COVID vaccination status and willingness to undergo a functional assessment
