Human Resources Specialist

A Human Resources Specialist is required to provide operational support and advice to senior management across the North Coast Region.

The role involves managing recruitment activities, including participating as a panel member to select for significant infrastructure projects. You will also provide expert guidance on workforce management, role definitions, and compliance with relevant legislation and directives.

In this role, you will undertake operational recruitment tasks, applying your knowledge of recruitment and selection policies to deliver successful outcomes. You will work closely with selection panels, providing informed advice to guide decision-making, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and uphold fair and transparent processes that align with business needs.

You will assist with establishment management, remuneration, and conditions, while maintaining accurate HR systems and documentation. Your ability to prepare and manage HR forms and documentation with precision will be essential.

This role requires building and maintaining strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will provide exceptional service, offering guidance and support on workforce management strategies, compliance, and process improvements. Your collaborative approach will contribute to a respectful and supportive work environment.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and HR policies within the Queensland Public Sector. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict and balance stakeholder needs effectively.
