Senior Financial Analyst Job Opportunity

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial well-being of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to keeping our children safe.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide timely and professional management reporting functions for the organization by consolidating information and advice on the financial impact of the current operation and future plans. They will facilitate compliance with relevant financial management and accounting policies, procedures, and standards across departments and within the government.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Finance Manager to coordinate and prepare annual budgets for different directorates.
  • Provide financial analysis including cost saving, forecasting, and budgeting strategies, in addition to advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders to assist decision making.
  • Prepare and provide quality, timely, and accurate financial management reports to executive team, including commentaries on finance results.
  • Provide business partner services to directorates to ensure monthly financials are accurately presented in the finance reports and obtain information from directorates to feed into financial forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting and full membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent.
  • Employment is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and related vetting checks.
  • All roles are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check.
