The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join a project focused on the design and advanced manufacture of carbon composite H2 tanks for heavy mobility. This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher to contribute to the development of innovative storage solutions for the hydrogen industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the selection of materials for composites used in a proof-of-concept cryogenic composite tank
- Develop storage system simulations to guide the design and manufacturing approaches of larger tanks for commercialization
- Collaborate with the project team to achieve project goals and objectives
- Contribute to the development of research papers and presentations
- PhD in a related discipline, such as Mechanical/Aerospace/Materials/Manufacturing Engineering
- Proven commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research and work independently
- Track record of publications and conference presentations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and build effective relationships
