The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join a prestigious ACM CRC project led by Rux Energy. This project focuses on the design and advanced manufacture of carbon composite H2 tanks for heavy mobility. As a Research Associate, you will investigate the mechanical and adsorbent properties of Metal Organic Framework (MOF) hydrogen storage materials, as well as simulate and optimize the manufacturing process for Rux Energy's patented MOFs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Develop and implement research projects related to hydrogen storage materials and carbon composite H2 tanks.
- Collaborate with the project team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Communicate research findings and results to the project team and stakeholders.
- PhD (or equivalent) in a related discipline, such as Mechanical/Aerospace/Materials/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
