About the Role

The Officer – Community Mobilisation plays a critical role in building organisational capability to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members. This position collaborates with other member and volunteer staff to ensure relationships and communications are relevant, strong, and mutually beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Manager in capturing and promoting the volunteer and members voice within the organisation.
  • Deliver innovative ways to improve volunteer and member experiences.
  • Coordinate events and activities to engage volunteers and members.
  • Work with diverse teams and people to create a collaborative working environment.
  • Manage time, set priorities, plan and organise work and that of volunteers.
  • Assess, evaluate and solve problems related to policies and practices for volunteers and members.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated sound administration skills.
  • Influencing and networking ability.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external use.
  • Experience in working with and supporting volunteers and/or members.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate events.
  • Strong commitment to Reconciliation.
  • Ability to work under general direction from senior employees within clear objectives and budget constraints.
