Community Development Officer

Celotti Workforce is seeking a skilled and experienced Community Development Officer to join our team. As a Community Development Officer, you will play a key role in building positive relationships between stakeholders, creating stronger, more connected communities, and delivering various community programs, initiatives, and events.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the community development team in planning and delivering community programs, initiatives, and events.
- Design and implement activities that encourage young people to engage with and contribute positively to their community.
- Act as a bridge between young people, the youth sector, and the community to facilitate effective communication and relationship building.
- Support initiatives in other community development areas, including Children and Families and Community Safety.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Community Development or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in working with community groups and delivering community-based programs or events.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – enabling you to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in building successful partnerships with local, state, and federal governments, NGOs, and the community.
- Strong organisational skills with experience in coordinating projects and preparing corporate documentation such as project briefs and reports.
- High level of proficiency in using information technology systems.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours for community events.
- A current NT driver's licence is essential.
