Celotti Workforce is seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering various community programs, initiatives, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the community development team in planning and delivering community programs, initiatives, and events.
  • Design and implement activities that encourage young people to engage with and contribute positively to their community.
  • Act as a bridge between young people, the youth sector, and the community to facilitate effective communication and relationship building.
  • Support initiatives in other community development areas, including Children and Families and Community Safety.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Community Development or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in working with community groups and delivering community-based programs or events.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – enabling you to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in building successful partnerships with local, state, and federal governments, NGOs, and the community.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience in coordinating projects and preparing corporate documentation such as project briefs and reports.
  • High level of proficiency in using information technology systems.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours for community events.
  • A current NT driver's licence is essential.
