Job Title: Child Welfare Professional

In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive child protection services. These services include risk assessment, intervention, and case management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment and Intervention: Utilize your skills and experience to deliver high-quality strengths-based child protection practice, including risk assessment and intervention.
  • Casework and Case Management: Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to provide integrated child protection services that respect the culture and context of each child, young person, family, and community.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to continuous quality improvement strategies and draw on professional practice experience to provide coaching and mentoring to new and less experienced colleagues.
  • Cultural Capability: Promote a culture of cultural capability, self-directed learning regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and contribute to a culturally safe and inclusive workplace environment.
