Behavior Technician Job Description

The Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a skilled Behavior Technician to join The Scott Center for Autism Treatment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with clients and trainees, develop skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans, and contribute to a dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Direct Client Support: Work directly with clients and trainees (graduate practicum students; undergraduate interns) as assigned for 30 hours per week, providing support and training in the implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized assessment procedures (e.g., VB-MAPP), social skills groups, and other program areas as assigned.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students on best practices in behavior analysis and support.
  • Billing and Administrative Tasks: Assist with billing and Electronic Health Records (EHR) reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Age and Background Check: Be at least 18 years of age and successfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application.
  • Training Program: Complete a 40-hr training program provided by the agency to meet basic competency requirements.
  • RBT Exam: Pass the RBT exam delivered through the BACB.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
