As a Community Care Specialist with the Victorian Government, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides high-quality care and support services to children and adolescents residing in secure welfare units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care, supervision, safety, security and personal support services in accordance with established procedures and local work practices.
  • Support clients in their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development through structured recreational programs, activities, modeling appropriate behaviors and encouraging contact with other clients, families and carers.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of personalized management plans and group programs for individuals and groups, promoting personal development, recreational, vocational and living skills.

This role requires a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable young people and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. The department encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

A competitive salary package is on offer for this position, estimated at $75,000 - $95,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
