Senior HSE Specialist for High-Risk Industrial Operations

At Zinfra, we are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for fostering a workplace culture characterized by risk-based systems and proactive behaviors.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in large, high-risk industrial organizations, preferably in utilities, services, infrastructure, or related sectors. They will possess proficiency in implementing risk-based HSE systems and assurance programs, coaching leaders, and empowering teams.

We are looking for someone with exceptional risk management skills, including AS4801 familiarity, and expert knowledge of Australian HSE legislative frameworks, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.

In this role, you will build partnerships with dedicated internal clients, serving as their primary point of contact, and implement company policies, programs, and initiatives for continuous improvement in H&S risk management and visible safety leadership.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering a workplace HSE culture characterized by risk-based systems and proactive behaviors
  • Taking accountability for coordinating, organising, and implementing various HSE projects, programs, and initiatives within assigned business areas
  • Offering professional advice, coaching, support, and guidance to management and staff on all HSE policies, processes, and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting the interpretation and adoption of HSE legislation and assisting the business with safety regulatory requirements and interfaces

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits that work for you, such as meaningful career growth opportunities and a talent development program.
