About the Role

Caregiver Support Specialists provide high-quality care, supervision, security, and safety to children and adolescents residing in secure welfare units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide care, supervision, safety, security, and personal support services in accordance with established procedures and local work practices.
  • Support clients in their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development through individual and group work, structured recreational programs, and activities.
  • Model appropriate behaviors and encourage, facilitate, and support clients in their contact with other clients, families, and carers, as well as with child protection workers, health, and education services.
  • Participate in designing and implementing programs for individuals and groups, including individual management plans and personal development, recreational, vocational, and living skills programs.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
