The role of Technical IT Support Specialist is a critical position within an organization, serving as the primary point of contact for all technical issues related to Information Technology and Audio Visual systems.

This position provides level 1 support for both internal employees and external stakeholders, managing the technical helpdesk and ensuring seamless operation of IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting up and supporting audio visual equipment for significant events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Ensure that computer systems are installed, configured, and maintained to optimal levels of performance and security.
  • User Support: Provide prompt and effective user support to resolve technical issues and improve overall IT experience.
  • Help Desk Management: Manage the technical helpdesk, receiving and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Audio Visual Support: Install and maintain audio visual equipment, ensuring it operates at peak performance levels for presentations and events.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, audio visual, and networking systems.
  • Project Work: Undertake project work as assigned by management, contributing to the development and improvement of IT systems.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of general computing principles, including hardware and software configurations.
  • Operating System Expertise: Be proficient in operating system platforms such as Windows and Apple OS.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Office 365.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Understand basic network concepts, including TCP/IP and Wi-Fi technology.
  • Teamwork and Initiative: Display ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in task completion.
