The Role

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team in Wangaratta. As a key member of our food services team, you will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our Food Safety Program (FSP). You will work closely with our Chef/Cook to provide quality food and beverages that meet the individual needs and preferences of our residents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning to meet resident needs and preferences.
  • Prepare, serve, present, and deliver food and refreshments in accordance with FSP guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen areas as per FSP requirements.
  • Monitor and record temperatures, receipt goods, and other related tasks.
  • Deliver meals and refreshments to residents in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Report any concerns or difficulties regarding food and beverages to the Registered Nurse In Charge.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in Food Handling Course.
  • Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • Experience working in residential aged care food services.
