About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Food Services Assistant to join our team at Respect Aged Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage services to our residents, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will contribute to menu planning, preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with our Food Safety Program (FSP). You will also assist with general cleaning and monitoring requirements of the FSP, including recording temperatures and receipting goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of menus that cater to resident's dietary needs and preferences;
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages in a timely manner;
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to our FSP standards;
  • Monitor and record temperature logs, stock levels, and other essential tasks as required;
  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents, responding to their requests and concerns in a professional and respectful manner;
  • Collaborate with the Chef/Cook and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless food service operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid Food Handling Certificate;
  • A current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire);
  • Experience working in residential aged care food services (desirable but not essential).
