We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our catering team at Respect Aged Care, a not-for-profit organisation serving older residents through high-standard care and community. Located in Wangaratta, VIC, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nourishing meals that meet the dietary requirements of our residents.

Job Description:
  • The Executive Chef will operate under the guidance of the Chef Supervisor, overseeing the preparation and presentation of excellent standard food and drink, ensuring all meals are well accepted by residents.
  • Provision of special dietary requirements of individual residents, as specified by the dietician, speech therapist or clinical care team, to ensure all nutritional and hydration needs are met.
  • Ensuring items of stock required are reported to the Chef Supervisor for ordering.
  • Documenting, communicating, implementing, delivering, and monitoring of the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.
  • Supporting all catering staff to maintain a clean and non-cluttered work environment and promoting safe work practices.
  • Planning and carrying out daily workload in an organised and professional manner, with or without supervision, as per the required duties on that day.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified chef with relevant certificate (e.g., Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Food Handling Course certification.
