Senior Property Accountant Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our organisation in the property industry, based in Perth, on a fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organisation that manages a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and monthly accruals
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, including NOI variance analysis and CAPEX forecasts
  • Maintain and reconcile property balance sheets and fixed asset registers
  • Business partnering - Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Support group reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Commercial Property experience is essential
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • CPA / CA qualified
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in commercial or retail property accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities - ability to translate finance to non-finance stakeholders and vice versa
  • Experience with property management systems
