Community Fundraising Specialist Role Overview

Key Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Community Fundraising Specialist to join our Marketing & Fundraising team. The successful candidate will lead and drive the Community Fundraising program, with a focus on strategy, optimising recruitment and activation for individual fundraisers and teams to meet revenue goals.

  • Developing and implementing a successful Community Fundraising program and strategy.
  • Managing and coordinating RFDS Victoria's existing portfolio of Community Fundraising events.

P2P Program Management:

The ideal candidate will have experience in growing P2P brands, promoting mass participation events and identifying new opportunities to add to the calendar.

Sponsorship and Partnerships:

As a key member of our team, you will support community members and stakeholders to deliver their own fundraising initiatives and work with internal stakeholders to enhance supporter experience.

Data and Insights:

The Community Fundraising Specialist will ensure data, insights and best practice are maintained at highest standards, reporting results on time.

Budget Management:

You will work with the Fundraising Manager to ensure budgets and expenditure align with targets.

As a critical thinker, you will frequently analyse the portfolio, developing business cases to ensure program alignment with organisational strategy.

Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in Community Fundraising, Peer to Peer programs, financial management and reporting.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills in improving, driving and managing a Community Fundraising program.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (such as Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, Fundraising, Events or Marketing).
