We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Recycling Attendant at the BCC Resource Recovery Centre in Nudgee. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe processing of recyclable materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining high levels of tidiness and presentation throughout the premises, including sorting and disposing of waste materials appropriately.
- Inspecting loads entering the facility to identify contents and directing drivers to designated recycling areas.
- Assisting drivers and customers with unloading materials and providing guidance on disposal methods.
- Providing instructions for separating materials to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, with the ability to be called in at short notice.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is highly recommended due to working across multiple sites.
- Heavy Rigid Truck Licence is highly desirable for this role.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift and move items safely when assisting customers.
- A competitive salary package of approximately $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
