About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Australian Public Service Commission as a Governance and Compliance Coordinator. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance and compliance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage corporate reporting obligations and input to support governance committee requirements.
  • Work closely with senior managers to manage relationships, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs, and achieve divisional goals.
  • Provide secretariat and administrative duties to support and facilitate governance meetings.
  • Coordinate and support the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance of governance processes and manage the update of governance-related information.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing draft reports, briefing papers, and correspondence for review by senior management.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and deliver governance papers, including tracking and monitoring activities, to meet timeframes.
  • High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement procedures, improve processes, and achieve results.
  • Knowledge of or ability to acquire an understanding of the organization's strategic direction, vision, and goals.
Eligibility
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Undergo pre-employment screening, including a Police Check.
