Family Services Program Overview

The Integrated Family Services Program supports families facing high stress and difficulties impacting parenting, family life and children's wellbeing.

Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides proactive outreach and home-based support services.

In a typical day, a Family Services Practitioner might:

* Engage in creative approaches to arrange visits with reluctant families.
* Build rapport to conduct strengths and risk assessments in clients' homes or children's schools.
* Review plans to support families' goals with their supervisor.
* Consult with Child Protection services.
* Discuss difficult cases with team members in Reflective Practice meetings.

  • Implement case management plans promoting positive outcomes for families and children.
  • Establish relationships with clients and stakeholders for effective collaboration and communication.
