Job Description

Job Title: Administration Officer Stores

Job Summary:

The Administration Officer Stores is a critical role within the custodial operations of The State Of Queensland. This position is responsible for assisting with stores operations, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the efficient management of stock and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor the receipt and acquittal of stores and supplies.
  • Reconcile deliveries and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and stock levels.
  • Contribute to the quality control, hygiene, and security of stores and storage facilities.
  • Process internal requisitions for stock items and maintain the centre's computerized stock control inventory.
  • Assist with the unloading of trucks and the ordering and issue of corporate wardrobe.
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Operate and maintain the centre's prisoner canteen and perform sales to prisoner services as required.
  • Process prisoner orders and ensure they are filled and distributed to prisoner units.
  • Oversee prisoners working within the stores facility to ensure work is being performed in accordance with standard procedures and processes.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including customer service, archiving, and word processing.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of efficient and effective work systems.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all documentation handled and maintain a secure filing system.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records and inventory levels.
