The Oncology Team is looking for a Clinical Lead to join their ranks.

This exciting role involves providing expert clinical care, oversight, education, and support to trial patients and their carers.

  • Providing patient-centered care, from referrals to treatment plans for oncology trial participants.
  • Overseeing treatment workflows and developing clinical plans for trial participants.
  • Performing specialised oncology nursing procedures, such as chemotherapy infusion and cannulation.
  • Mentoring and supervising research nurses, ensuring quality, compliance, and improvement in care.
  • Collaborating with clinical staff and Principal Investigators to coordinate care and assess new trial feasibility.

You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in oncology, with a strong appreciation of the importance of evidence-based research in advancing patient outcomes.

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience in Oncology Nursing, and demonstrated understanding of clinical trial processes, patient care standards, and investigational therapies across various cancer types.

A proven ability to implement change and develop direction in clinical practice through the utilisation of evidence-based practice, and strong leadership with experience providing advice and guidance to junior members of the team.

Key Selection Criteria include:

  • At least 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience in Oncology Nursing, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical trial processes, patient care standards, and investigational therapies across various cancer types.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise competing work requirements across a variety of settings.
  • Strong leadership with experience providing advice and guidance to junior members of the team.
