Job Description

Caregivers with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care are sought after to join our nursing team.

We are looking for experienced Oncology Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will provide evidenced based nursing care, liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, and ensure patient and staff safety. They will also supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care. Additionally, they will deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs.

Oncology Nurses will have the opportunity to work in a 98-bed acute surgical hospital that serves the local community, offering a range of services including Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Oncology Unit as well as a Mental Health Unit. Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration
  • Working with Children check
  • Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Nursing experience
  • Competency in Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy administration
  • IV cannulation and accessing CVAD/Ports competency
  • ADAC training and certification
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Adherence to ACQSHC National standards
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Basic computer skills
