Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the foundation for building a fulfilling life. We provide accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people. Our goal is to create a welcoming and flourishing environment where individuals can feel comfortable and develop.

The Role

This position will be based in our 30-bed Homeless Hostel in Doncaster. The successful candidate will carry a caseload of clients with various complexities, including mental health and substance misuse. They will be responsible for supporting these individuals during their stay in the hostel.

  • Act as an initial point of contact for clients and colleagues.
  • Use company systems to record information and communicate effectively.
  • Respond to health and safety issues promptly.
  • Monitor access to schemes and visitors.
  • Report incidents and anti-social behavior.
  • Perform domestic tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Effectively record and document client information.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support plans with clients to assess and review their situation.
  • Promote culture and diversity awareness and report any forms of discrimination.
  • Promote tenant involvement and consultation.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to meet service requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, training events, and regular supervisions.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required by the designated manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Changing Lives safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Proficiency in using company systems and software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
