Therapy Practitioner Opportunity
">The role of the Therapy Practitioner is to provide life-changing therapy to individuals with disabilities. As a Therapy Practitioner, you will work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
">You will utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding. Building meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends) is also an essential part of this role.
">Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework, is a critical aspect of this position. Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges are also key responsibilities.
">As a Therapy Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor. You will work in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with experts in the field.
">To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration such as Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker or Mental Health Nurse.
">Additionally, you will need to be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required), have a minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, a positive and flexible approach to work, strong communication skills and be a team player, commitment to personal and professional growth, a valid Australian drivers license and NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Childrens Check.
