Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality development assessment and compliance services, providing expert advice and support to ensure high-quality development outcomes across the shire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high growth coastal regional council with a wide variety of interesting development projects including large greenfield residential subdivisions, commercial, mixed use and industrial developments and tourist and visitor accommodation projects.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline, demonstrated extensive professional experience in development assessment and knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated extensive professional experience in development assessment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
