As a seasoned product design leader, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive innovation in digital product strategy.

You will lead the development of our publishing brands' digital products, focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences across various digital platforms.

The role requires strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in setting goals, driving design excellence, and mentoring others. Additionally, expertise in design systems and governance is necessary to develop and maintain design systems across all digital platforms.

In this position, you will also collaborate with other design leaders to upskill and develop your knowledge, as well as that of your team members.

Your main goal will be to champion customer-centric thinking and user research, while designing and delivering engaging digital experiences that meet users' needs.

This includes collaborating with the newsroom to enhance digital news and ensuring that all digital media offerings are engaging and informative.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A proven track record as a design leader or similar senior design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product design outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in user-centered design principles, UX research methodologies, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in designing for various digital platforms, including mobile web, mobile apps, and responsive web design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
