Job Opportunity: Data Governance Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of our data governance strategy, ensuring alignment with our Information and Data Governance Framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a principles-based data governance model. This includes leading the development and implementation of standard dataset procedures, data governance tools, and processes; engaging with subject matter experts to embed data governance by design; developing departmental policies, standards, and guidelines for data management; and overseeing the proactive release of data to improve open and shared data practices.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and drive effective change. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, experience in designing and implementing data governance models, and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with our Information and Data Governance Framework.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of a principles-based data governance model.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standard dataset procedures and data governance tools.
  • Engage with subject matter experts to embed data governance by design.
  • Develop departmental policies, standards, and guidelines for data management.
