This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 5-month contract paying up to $800/day + Super. This role is located in Parramatta

**About the Role**

We are currently seeking to appoint a Data Governance Analyst with a leading NSW Government agency. The Data Governance Analyst will be working on a program that provides the foundation for NSW’s action on climate change and goal to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Having high-quality data available in the right format at the right time is crucial to make informed decisions about the Program. The role supports the implementation of a data governance framework accountabilities include:

- Create and conduct governance processes to measure data management and data quality maturity across various domains
- Create, update & support policies, standards, and processes related to data management, quality, access, and security are followed in all environments. Create repeatable data management processes within Data Governance
- Work with stakeholders to understand, prioritise, and document business and technical needs, and to ensure alignment with the Data Governance strategy
- Support the implementation of a new data lineage, metadata & reference data management framework and technology solution (Data Architecture Phase II). Utilise this solution to identify, initiate and champion improvements in data quality, sustainability and security.

**About You**
- Experience working in Data Management and/or Quality Management Systems
- Solid Experience in Power Bi or similar visualisation Tools
- Experience working in large complex environments
- A modern mindset on setting up data governance processes and polices
