Job Title

The Human Research Ethics Coordinator will provide support to the operations of the HREC and the Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage enquiries via email, phone or in person and respond to straightforward inquiries, redirecting or escalating as necessary.
  • Arrange and coordinate HREC meetings, events, training sessions and functions, including meeting arrangements, room bookings, catering, agenda preparation and minute taking.
  • Provide administrative support for the Ethics Secretariat and Human Research Ethics Manager, including administrative changes to approved ethics applications and correspondence on ethics applications.
  • Monitor and review approved ethics applications.
  • Process invoices and payments.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports to the University and Government authorities.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Human Research Ethics Committee administrative processes.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of best practice in providing customer service.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with competing priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Experience working in administration.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and take instruction from multiple stakeholders.
