At Weir, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as an Area Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to elevate customer-facing sales efforts and expand market share across key sites.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in identifying and capturing new sales opportunities, driving growth, and fostering strong relationships with potential clients. A strategic approach will be necessary to help clients understand and leverage the value of our products within their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Possess thorough knowledge of all product offerings to be positioned as a 'trusted advisor' to customers. Provide equal attention to established customers as to growing new business.
  • Strategy: Develop strategies to penetrate assigned accounts, initiate new business, and grow existing business through team and individual selling efforts.
  • Customer Support: Provide world-class customer and product support in capital products and aftermarket wear solutions with a high level of professionalism. Prepare high-level correspondence and quality tender responses and manage contractual processes as per company policy.
  • Service: Perform onsite and workshop-based inspections and provide technical advice to optimize product performance. Demonstrate a strong degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Business Development or Sales-oriented role.
  • Mining, Technology, or Engineering industry experience is desirable.
  • Proven network of mining site contacts with the ability to formulate product proposals highlighting product features and benefits to acquire new business as required (mandatory).
  • Interest in mining technology.
  • You will be equally comfortable working autonomously as well as with a team, working through a period of growth.
