Role Overview

As a Developmental Educator at Everyday Independence, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centered support and planning, helping participants to overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments using the LEAD evidence-based assessment tool
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide person-centered support and planning to participants and their families
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, and support teams to ensure effective support and planning
  • Participate in peer group supervision and mentoring to enhance skills and expertise
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement)
  • Be passionate about removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Have strong advocacy skills and be able to communicate effectively with participants, families, and support teams
  • Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
  • Hold a valid drivers license
