About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Developmental Educator to join our interdisciplinary team at Everyday Independence. As a Developmental Educator, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support and planning for individuals with disabilities, their families, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments using our LEAD evidence-based assessment tool to identify the needs and goals of participants.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans that promote independence and inclusion.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and support teams to ensure a seamless transition to the role of a Developmental Educator.
  • Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits, problem-solve challenges, and champion the role of a social model practitioner.
  • Use evidence-based practice and professional reasoning to recommend the most appropriate team of supports, therapy, duration, location, and timing.
