Program Overview:

The Toys 'n' Tucker program is an annual initiative that distributes food and toy hampers to thousands of families in our community at Christmas. Our team is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.

About the Role:

In this role, you will supervise, assist, and support volunteers to ensure the successful delivery of the Toys 'n' Tucker program. This includes sorting and packing donated food and toys for Anglicare clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement an organized system for sorting and packing food items.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure a smooth program operation.
  • Provide induction, guidance, and regular communication to volunteers.
  • Ensure quality hampers are created for families by prioritizing food items based on use-by dates.
  • Promote a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct WHS site safety briefings for new staff and volunteers as required.

About You:

  • Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Caring and compassionate towards others.
  • Previous experience training and supervising volunteers is highly regarded.
  • Valid Working with Children's Check required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.
