**Lifestyle Therapy Team Lead**

About this role

We are seeking a motivated and innovative individual to lead our Lifestyle Therapy Team. As a Lifestyle Therapy Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing contemporary leisure and recreational programs that enhance the physical, cultural, spiritual, and social well-being of our residents.

Your day-to-day activities will include coordinating resources and staff/volunteers needed to deliver activities, mentoring them to enhance wellbeing and quality of life for residents, overseeing and assessing resident needs to develop person-centred care plans and activities, and maintaining accurate documentation of activities.

**Key responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement lifestyle therapy programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Collaborate with a team of allied health professionals to assess resident needs and develop person-centred care plans
  • Mentor and support staff/volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge in delivering lifestyle therapy programs
  • Coordinate resources and equipment required to deliver activities and ensure effective utilization of facilities
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including individual resident-focused information in care documentation

**Requirements:**

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or related field
  • Light Rigid Bus Licence (Class LR) or ability to acquire within three months of commencement
  • Experience in developing and implementing lifestyle therapy programs in aged care
  • Comprehensive understanding of accreditation processes and standards
  • Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  • National Police Check or ability to acquire
