About the Role

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Senior Disability Practice Advisor. As a key support to the division's Principal Disability Practice Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding practice, coordinating and monitoring activities that support the care of children with complex disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide a coordinated response to children and young people with disabilities at risk of, or requiring, supports outside the family home.
  • Support the establishment of accommodation arrangements for children and young people who are unable to live in the family home due to their complex disability needs.
  • Provide mainstream case coordination support to ensure children and young people in care arrangements can either return to living with their families or smoothly transition into adult services.
