Disability Health Clinical Advisor

Role Overview
Yooralla is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Disability Health team as a Disability Health Clinical Advisor. The successful candidate will provide disability-related health services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and contribute to quality and service improvement activities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing health assessments and developing health support plans to ensure high-quality health and wellbeing supports for clients.
- Delivering individualised health specific training to support workers and education to clients to promote and facilitate access to health care.
- Implementing registered nurse delegation and supervision of care as appropriate to ensure safety for clients and staff.
- Providing clinical advice and support to clients and the wider organisation on health related matters and areas for service improvement.
- Conducting assessments of direct support workers' competencies relevant to health supports and identifying opportunities for improvement to systems, processes and work practices.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or recognised equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse, with experience in clinical assessments and care plan implementation.
- Knowledge of the Australian health system and the ability to apply this to practice within the disability sector.
