Job Opportunity: Senior Legal Counsel
- Marketing, FMCG and commercial law expertise
A leading FMCG organisation seeks a commercially astute Senior Legal Counsel to join their high-performing central legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice across consumer law, marketing, and broader commercial matters.
The role involves providing guidance on consumer law, advertising standards, and commercial legal issues. This includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with retailers, suppliers, and service providers. Ensuring adherence to consumer protection laws and marketing regulations - including digital and social media - is also a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate will assist in the design and implementation of robust legal compliance systems and manage litigation and regulatory matters. They will also identify legal risks and keep stakeholders informed with timely updates.
Requirements- Minimum 8+ years PQE in private practice or in-house roles, preferably with exposure to the FMCG sector
- Previous experience in contract law, consumer law, and advertising regulation
- Strategic thinker who balances legal risk with commercial outcomes
- Trusted advisor who collaborates effectively across teams and delivers practical, business-focused solutions
