How will this role develop your career?

You'll work closely with the General Counsel and be mentored by senior lawyers who combine private practice pedigree with deep in-house insight.

You'll grow your skills across the full spectrum of employment law, litigation, industrial relations, and advocacy, regularly engaging with government agencies, industrial courts and tribunals.

What work will you do?

• Provide workplace relations advice to member organisations
• Handle grievances, investigations and dispute resolution
• Carry carriage of employment litigation and tribunal matters
• Draft and assist with EBAs and enterprise agreement negotiations
• Deliver training and webinars to members and the internal advisory team
• Mentor junior advisors and review legal publications
• Liaise with barristers, unions and regulators on key matters

What type of person will be successful?

• Be admitted as a solicitor in Australia
• Have 3+ years' PQE in employment and workplace relations law
• Bring advocacy and negotiation experience
• Be a strong communicator with a plain-English approach to legal issues
• Demonstrate a commercial mindset and a practical, client-first approach
• Be proactive, responsive and collaborative
