
Senior Claims Specialist

This is a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing claims with precision and professionalism.
- Claim Management: The successful candidate will oversee the entire claim process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Policy Interpretation: This role involves interpreting policy coverage and making informed decisions regarding claim validity.
- Customer Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers, investigators, solicitors, and the general public is essential.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards is a top priority.
- Recoveries: Initiating and completing recoveries from third parties requires sound judgment and negotiation skills.
- File Audits: Conducting self-audits of claims files ensures accuracy and integrity in internal audits.
- Enquiries: Responding to enquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner within privacy guidelines is crucial.
- Technical Claims Experience: Strong technical claims experience and expertise in managing complex claims is highly valued.
- Specialty Classes: Proficiency in managing specialty classes of insurance, including bodily injury, psychiatric, and psychological injury, is preferred.
- Underwriting Procedures: A proven understanding of underwriting procedures and policy wordings across a diversified liability portfolio is essential.
- Relationship-Building: Skilled in engaging and collaborating with external providers, such as loss adjusters, lawyers, and consultants.
- General Insurance Code: Expert knowledge and practical application of the General Insurance Code of Practice is required.
- Relationship-Building: Effective relationship-building with clients and customers, maintaining confidentiality and resilience.
- Dispute Resolution: Capable of participating in alternative dispute resolution processes.
