Job Opportunity: Technical Support Engineer - Switching and Payments

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Green Light, a leading IT services business. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for complex banking systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operation of payment processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for banking systems, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of payment processing systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and technical notes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical support within a banking environment.
  • Proficiency with Connex and BASE24 systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with payment switches and payment processing systems.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and payment processing workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of banking systems and payment processing systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing solutions.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and incident management processes.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
