This is a key role that focuses on delivering evidence-based contemporary speech-language pathology services to students. The Senior Speech Language Pathologist will provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that all services are of high quality and meet the needs of the students.

The RoleThe Senior Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for:
- Supporting students to achieve their potential by using evidence-based contemporary speech language pathology knowledge and frameworks to assist schools in identifying and making reasonable adjustments and implementing inclusive teaching strategies.
- Collaborating with schools, the designated supervising Speech Language Pathologist, and other service providers to assess barriers to student learning and develop and implement speech language pathology services and interventions across schools, including complex and specialist interventions, where required.
- Participating as a member of the school team in the planning and management of at-risk behaviors of students with the aim of preventing the use of restrictive practices.
- Providing training and support to other state schools speech language pathologists to build capacity and promote best practice in speech language pathology service delivery.
- Participating in service planning at a whole-school and regional level.
