Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in a rural community, providing high-quality, holistic care to clients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients with varying needs and abilities.
  • Provide education and guidance to families, carers, teachers, and employers on adapting environments to meet client needs.
  • Recommend and implement environmental modifications and assistive technology to enhance client participation in daily life and community activities.
  • Deliver early childhood supports and promote healthy living initiatives within the community.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Senior Leadership Roles:
  • Provide clinical direction for the Occupational Therapy Team across the business, in conjunction with Allied Health Team Leaders.
  • Implement and review clinical procedures, policies, and ensure accreditation standards are met.
  • Organize Occupational Therapy student placement activities.
  • Provide clinical mentoring support and clinical education to the Occupational Therapy cohort and wider health professional team.

The ideal candidate will possess a Degree in Occupational Therapy, Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA, and a current unrestricted 'C' Class Driver's Licence (manual preferred). They will also have the right to live and work in Australia. Desirable qualities include willingness to travel by road and/or small planes to outreach communities and an interest in rural and remote health care delivery.
